Mines Wonderland Night Theme Park

ANNOUNCEMENT: ALL VISITORS TAKE NOTE THAT THE MINES WONDERLAND THEME PARK IS CURRENTLY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

If you are not sure how to spend your night outing as a family, try going to Mines Wonderland Night Theme Park in Seri Kembangan, about 35 minutes drive from the city of Kuala Lumpur. This park opens from 5pm to 11pm during weekends and public holidays and 6pm to 11pm during normal days. Take note that it is closed on Mondays except when Monday is a school holiday or public holiday. A suggested time that you could spend here is 4 hours as there are many attractions to cover.

There is something for everyone in the family. Your entire family will be able to enjoy the cruise on the 150 acres open cast mining lake, ride on the vintage car, hop on the road tram that will take you on a ride along the park, ride on a train that takes you on the part of the garden that will enable you to see the creatures that are being kept here, go to the ice factory that is freezing cold and see the scupture of ice on display here, see the endanger White Bengal Tiger that roams freely on the enclosed area as you walk on the bridge, see the cultural show from East Malaysia and the musical fountain which is the highlight of the day.

The highlight of the day is the Mines Musical Fountain that dances in tandem with the music and lights at the background.

Water Taxi

Remember to hop on the water taxi and cruise along the 150 acre lake that used to be the largest open cast tin mine in the world. You will enjoy the cool breeze of the night as you sit and enjoy the scenery of the buildings in the vicinity of the lake. As you cruise along the lake, you will be able to see the giant animal sculptures with lights that lights up. The giant animals include the dinosaur, the swam, the dolphin and the chicks.

Train Ride, Road Tram and Vintage Car

Your children will enjoy the rides that are available at regular interval in this park. Try the Unity Train ride that takes you around the park. You will be able to see the garden and the animals that are kept here. The Road Tram ride is a choo-choo train that moves on the road that will enable you to see the other side of the park. Go back to the automotive age by going on the Vintage Car that takes you around a lake and a beautifully landscaped garden.

Ice Factory

Experience extreme cold temperature in tropical Malaysia. With a temperature of between -10 °C to -15 °C, this 10,000 square feet Ice Factory is the first winter wonderland in Malaysia. See the many ice sculptures of animals, fish, chairs and other interesting models here. Remember to wear your winter jacket that is available at the entrance to this place. You will probably spend about 15 minutes at most in this place due to the cold temperature here.

Bengal Tiger

Learn all about the Bengal Tiger at the Secrets of The Tiger. Walk along the bridge and you will see some of the tigers that roam freely in the enclosed area here. Notice the endangered White Bengal Tiger as you walk along the bridge. Other animals that you can see include the peacock, the swam, the goats and the macaw bird.

Musical Fountain, Cultural Show and Aqua Laser Show

At the Amphitheatre, see the spectacular Musical Fountain where the water will dance in the air as the music and light permeate in the surrounding. There are 2 shows during normal days and 3 shows during public holidays and weekends. Before the start of the musical fountain, there is the cultural show that shows the native dance from the state of Sabah in East Malaysia. The show ended with the aqua laser show.

When you purchase your ticket, remember to ask for package deal as the park does offer family package and other offer during special occasion such as parents' day. These value package may come with dinner at the Traveller's Food Village restaurant in the park itself.

Getting to Mines Wonderland Theme Park

The theme park is about 35 minutes drive from the city of Kuala Lumpur on the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway. Exit at the Mines Wonderland Resort City.

You can also take the KTM Komuter train and stop at Serdang Station. From here, cross the highway on the overhead bridge and walk for about 15 minutes to the park.
